The story behind BEACOM
BEACOM is a spin-off from the University of Montpellier, born at the intersection of materials science and life sciences.
The story begins in 2019, when Aurélie started collaborating with David and Julien on a biocontrol research project. Very quickly, the convergence of their approaches revealed the major potential of encapsulation as a technological lever for biocontrol.
In 2025, Stéphanie joined the adventure to structure the project and support the creation of the company, bringing expertise in business development and company process.
This dual scientific and entrepreneurial culture forms the foundation of BEACOM today. We convert strong scientific potential into ready to use solutions, matching industrial challenges of biocontrol.
Founders
BEACOM relies on the complementary expertise of scientists and entrepreneurs committed to developing sustainable solutions for agriculture.

David Cornu
Scientific advisor
Professor of physical chemistry at the ENSCM and Director of the European Membrane Institute, David Cornu is a specialist in advanced materials and their translation into applications in health and environmental sectors. A deep-tech entrepreneur, he brings to BEACOM recognized expertise in transforming scientific innovation into practical, market-ready solutions.
PhD in molecular virology, Aurélie Perrin brings over 20 years of experience in biological solutions for agriculture.
Her work has highlighted a key challenge: turning promising biological actives into products that perform reliably in the field. She co-founded BEACOM to accelerate the industrialization and adoption of biosolutions.
Holding an MBA, Stéphanie Vanhove Leccia has strong experience in company structuring and strategic development.
With a strong interest in environmental sciences, she leverages her experience in technology, agriculture and industry projects by co-founding BEACOM.
